UNO MAXO

APRIL 13th.
MAX BEAR HENDRICKS
turned 1 today!
AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!

My sweet sweet little man.
A year ago today you were swimmin' around in my uterus.
(have you ever noticed how it's called a uterUS, not uter I?)
My how times flies.
So this afternoon mean ol mommy decided
to cut his nap short cause i wanted to play with him
bad idea.

Food Max likes:  green beans, ravioli, fettucine (basically all pasta) strawberries, sweet potatoes, all things sweet of course, string cheese, and pretty much anything he see's anyone eating.
Max grunts at us when he wants food we are scarfing down,
and if we don't quickly fork some into his can he starts to scream.
The days of having my own food are over.
Which i guess is good cause Wyatt doesn't eat anything.

So while we were grocery shopping today,
Wyatt informed everyone that his brother Max is 1 and that today is infact, his birthday.
Then he invited them to a party.
But only AFTER he told the people talking Spanish
"Cinco blah blah Blinko, we don't talk Spanish here people, it's WALMART"
I beg to differ.

I'm pretty sure Max can crawl on his knees, but every time I come into the room
I find him on his hands and knees and then he drops down to his stomach to the army crawl.
For Max's Birthday he got a high chair!
just what he wanted...
It's the bomb.com
Wyatt was pretty upset Max wasn't getting anything good.
But Max didn't seem to mind.

CAKE TIME!
Max was pretty interested in the flame.
And of course, the camera ran out of memory right before blowing out the candle.

.

If i hadn't taken that #1 away he wouldn't have eaten cake.
And there it was....

Happy Birthday Baby Bear!!
We love you!!

Fetus

I have enjoyed being a mother thus far
and last week when I went to see Dr. Bean, I received shocking news.

He couldn't locate the baby's heart beat.
Only mine.
.

Now settle down, he could hear it kicking and stuff
But he wanted to see that the beat was
regular or something, so he decided to do an ultra sound.
AND THEN....

 He said,

"Its a boy."

Need I say more?

Candy!!!

Well It's officially come to pass, Daisy, our beloved french bulldog is no longer with us.
No, Wyatt did not destroy her, we sold her.
She needed more room to run, be free and poop as she pleased.
Not to mention more attention.
She now enjoys her very own doggy door,
round the clock access to food
AND
a new BOYFRIEND!
Don't worry, he's fixed.

On another note, I am now 12 weeks pregnant.
I had yet to barf the entire time until today.
I spewed up my entire years worth of food.
Probably to no one's surprise it was all
popcorn
  starburst's
cake
sprite...
(oddly it tasted just as sweet coming up as going down)
You know me and my sweet tooth.
Which also found it's way out today.
I swear I've had more teeth fall out of my head then i knew i had.
To be fair, it was a crown.
So naturally i swore off sweets.

At least for the day.

A Thinker...

The other day my cousin Brittany and I were driving and she pointed out to me how nicely she had written on her hand. We then conversed about how, for some reason, when you write on your hand it always looks so neat. I explained to her it's like when you write on a single sheet of paper on a hard surface it doesn't look quite as crisp as when you have a whole stack of papers under it. The writing always looks smoother, like writing on hands.

We both decided that "THEY" should hire me to write a book of all the pointless stuff in the world. Lets face it, I do have a nack for noticing, dissecting, and writing pointless things.

Now that i am an adult and change my underwear daily, i think about life in a whole new way. Usually i have thoughts of grown up details: where should Wyatt go to school, what laundry detergent should i use, how can i make some money, when was the last time i changed the oil...but if you've ever talked to me, you know sometimes I say things out of no where.

My brain just works that way. I think of something, then a detail  zaps it  into something else, which goes quickly to something else and then i say it. Sometimes seeming rude and not in the conversation, but they all connect in my head. Do you do that?

Wyatt does it too. Lately  (even more than usual) he just talks and talks and talks! I wondered if the reason was because i was ignoring the chatter so much, so i tried listening to him more intently but it seemed to increase even more. I've explained to him to think about things before he speaks and see if it has to do with what we are talking about. "But, if i don't say it, then no one will know" was his response. The problem is, i know too much!

Anyways.
I started this book the other day

Have you read it?
It's fantastic. I like it because the 12 year old main character reminds me of me.
Not because I'm incredibly smart and people mistake me for something I'm not
(Except for people thinking I'm old)

But because of the way his thought process moves and how he tries to see the world.
You really must read it!

PS: Why is Matt Lauer's head so shiny? Is it acceptable in "The Biz" to have a super shiny head? Women can't have shiny faces. That would be devastating! So is there a double standard? I couldn't even tell you what he was talking about because it was so distracting.

What really cooks my meatballs...

Is anyone else super tired of reading all the cookie cutter blogs?
I feel like they only bring me down.
It just seems like all the women nowa days compete so much.
Who can make the nicest booger rag
Who can have the best dressed kids
Who can have the sweetest husband
Cleanest/ best decorated house
Be the most creative
Cook the most amazing meals.
Have the most friends,
do the most stuff.
BLAH BLAH BLAH

Now, i know they get paid to blog.
But does it really matter where your daughter got her headband?
Or what kind of high end rag you wrap your kid in?

Well call me Negative Nancy, but i am sorry.
This is not realistic.
I don't have that kind of energy.
I have KIDS.

Beans, beans.

I went to the Dr last on the 4th.
I am now 10 weeks pregnant.
He had prescribed me some Zofran for my nausea.
it's the best!

UNTIL ...

I found out it causes constipation.
Would have been useful to know that
being pregnant and pooping rabbit pellets as it is.
So he says I should eat lots of fiber.
Well duh.

But that's not working, so no more Zofran for me
Sad Sad.

I would rather be sick than prarie doggin it at work all night.

Then Thursday we took a little skip down to Green Valley, AZ.

The weather was a beautiful 70 degrees and sunny!
Max and Wyatt were fabulous on the plane.

But some how we all became ill.

Maybe its just pregnancy.
Or maybe it's pneumonia.
or maybe it's the plague.

Anywho, we went to Silas's niece Emma's baptism.
Ate lots of food that i didn't have to cook (awesome)
Spent time with his great familia:

Nature walks
riding motorcycles
eating beans.
Ya know, Arizona stuff. No big deal.

Then got home at 5pm went to work at 6pm and came home at 6am.
So i'm spent. I took some pictures but i'm too lazy to hook up the camera.
